Detect every person in an image or video and hide them before an analyst has to look
GEN Blur is a desktop tool that automatically detects people in images and videos and masks them. Pick a file or a folder, choose a black mask or a blur, and process. Originals are never modified.
Free for law enforcement.
Less exposure for the people doing the review
Content analysts burn out, and the biggest cause is the volume of traumatic material they see while doing routine work: sorting, de-duplicating, labelling and preparing exhibits. Most of that work does not need the content unmasked.
GEN Blur uses AI segmentation to mask the outline of every person in an image or video, keeping the audio on video. The masked copy is saved beside the original with a "-background" suffix and is what the analyst works with for triage, and what gets shared with partners who need the context of an exhibit but not its detail. The original stays untouched for the stages that genuinely need it.
Where GEN Blur sits in a case
- Seized images and video are run through GEN Blur on intake
- Analysts triage and label the masked copies
- Originals are opened only for the review stages that require them
